Highs and Lows

Troy informed me that today may be his last golf game for the 'season'. I will believe it when I see it! LOL The Men's Group at church had their last scheduled golf tournament for the year this last Saturday. The day was quite cool!

Today is another pretty cool one. Last year it was not this cold at this time. In fact, it has been pretty warm around here until after Halloween, usually. I am thinking that we may be seeing a very early winter. One of the couples I know at the dog park commented that they think they may end up doing their leaf raking in the Spring...they think the snow will come while the leaves are falling. That is not a very nice thought.

Since my last post I have had a week long bout of the flu, TJ returned from his visit to S.C. to see his friend Steve graduate from boot camp, Troy spent a week in Iowa at a end-of-year company meeting and training session, TJ wrecked my van, and Bethany has attended the Homecoming Dance. I do not seem to be having much luck in the job search and am getting quite annoyed.

Here are pictures of the van after the accident:

He slid into the back of a Cadillac being driven by another kid his age...TJ was driving his mom's van and this 'kid' was driving his mommy's car. The Cadillac didn't look bad at all..my van was totalled. At least everyone was okay.

She said they had a very good time and her date (Mike) was a gentleman. He should have been after the 'talk' I had with him when he came to pick her up!! LOL

I would appreciate prayers from everyone that I would get a job soon. Especially with my van being put out of commission...and I told Troy there was no way we would look into getting me another vehicle until I had a job. I am driving TJ's car, right now. I'm not fond of it but it is better than having NOTHING to drive.
