New Year...Let's Hope...

I am hoping this year will bring better than last year.

At the end of 2010 I rushed to get through 5 graduate classes so that I could get my teaching license renewed. I did those classes in 3 weeks...all 9 hours of them. All online. Lectures, workbook pages, quizzes, projects and final papers. I didn't get much sleep and it took me another 2-3 weeks after that before my body would go back to a more normal sleep pattern again.

Jr. has started college. He is going to a local college so that he can stay at home (save money!). He decided to drop the whole 'film director' thing and go for something that is probably more fitting to his likes and personality...video game design. He only has to put in 2 years, initially. What he REALLY wants to end up doing is game testing. BUT he has to know how they are designed and how they work in order to find and fix glitches. I am hoping that once he really gets into the graphics of it he will like it and want to stay on that path. All I know is, the market for what he is going for is wide open so hopefully he will not have such a difficult time getting a job in that.

I am hoping to secure a job as an online teacher. After all, I have been a teacher...my kids have both been online school students. I also have a friend from our church that was just hired this year at an online school and she can help me get in. I may have to wait for the next school year but they sometimes have to pick up more teachers as the school year goes on...even now.

I have also started an online diet/fitness program. It is free, and I am doing it with a friend. She was turned onto it by another friend and we are all supporting each other. I have been following it really well for about 3 weeks now but have been afraid to weigh myself. I will do that tomorrow since it will be officially 3 weeks since I joined. I need something to help me take off this weight that it took me 20 years to put on.

Well...that's it. We haven't progressed too much farther than last August. Just enough.
