This is day #4 with my lower back in mucho pain. I would have seen the chiropractor yesterday but his office is not open on Thursdays. I called first thing this morning and I can't get in until 4. I am hoping for some relief for the weekend. Kinda tired of walking around with ice on my back...that is if you can call how I move 'walking'.
Today is very hot and humid. We have had lots of scattered showers with occassional thunder thrown in for good measure. TJ will not have a softball game tonight to play. He will be spending most of the weekend at Steven's house. Steven ships out on June 29th for Army boot camp. I have appreciated having Steven in TJ's life. He has been a really great friend to him.
Bethany is free from percussion practice this next week. She was given a set of bells and a practice snare. She doesn't need the practice snare for anything, really, at this point in time. The week after next only consists of a few night time full band practices. After that, she gets busy. Once August hits there will be Friday night football games and band competitions EVERY SATURDAY until November. Then in November, they will attend a Bands of America competition in Indianapolis. They go every year...it is a 2-3 day event. Bands from all over the country come there to compete. The list is quite long! She will really be looking forward to Thanksgiving break...shows and competitions will be over by then.
Troy has been trying to 'redo' the garage...he has taken down the makeshift cabinets out there and taking apart shelves. He has most of it repainted so that he can start putting up shelves where he wants them and HOW he wants them. There will finally be a big space for the riding lawn mower and the freezer, etc. so that we won't be tripping over things. I'm glad the garage is such a deep one. This should take away a need for an additional storage building.
And here I am with the ice. I try to keep moving to keep up on daily laundry and cleaning. But the flower beds outside have become over run AGAIN because of all the rain and humidity. I guess I know how Bethany will be earning her spending money because I am going to need some serious help with some of this!
Max has been having a great time at the Dog Park with the other dogs. Because of the rain, though, there have been some days when he couldn't go. He gets kind of ornery when he misses his social time. I hate to see what will happen when winter comes! Perhaps some of the owners will still bring their dogs there in the winter as long as there isn't a lot of snow. Then, again, I'm not sure if the park is open in the winter. They may not plow the roads in the park. Since this is the first year for the Dog Park, I guess we will all have to wait and see.
