Too many household cleaning chemicals are just that...a bunch of chemicals. And those chemicals are not necessarily safe. When it comes to cleaning, the simpler the better.
'Fancy' antibacterial soaps and sprays are not actually the best things to use. And when buying products, just because it says it is 'natural', 'green', 'eco-friendly' does not mean it is really safe.
Look online for REAL natural ways of cleaning. One site that will give you safe cleaning methods and ways of 'debugging' a house and garden is The Children's Health Environmental Coalition (http://www.checnet.org).
I have tried many types of cleaners that were supposed to make cleaning quicker, easier and kill more bacteria. Most of them ended up making me choke! In reality, when it comes to cleaning all you really need is baking soda, lemon juice, white vinegar, hydrogen peroxide and elbow grease. Also, a mixture of lemon juice, coffee grounds and hot pepper will get rid of most pests...bug and vermine alike. It will also keep your pets from digging in your gardens and around your plants.
